I joined Wikipedia projects in 2004. I'm a manager of new technologies, e-learning and multilingualism projects by training and profession. I worked for higher education institutions such as INALCO, Université de Paris, Université de Toulouse and others. I've been Wikimedian en résidence in 2023-2024.

My ancestors were Occitan, a formerly 15-millions people community with its own vibrant culture now nearly disapeared. I'm fluent in French, English and Chinese and supports cultural diversity and minority languages revitalization.

I have embraced diverse roles within the Wikimedia community. After editing and administrative work, I since focus on content gaps, innovation, technology, and facilitation to better support large-scale community initiatives.

Between 2005 and 2015 I focused on visual contents. I conceived, created and led the first Graphic Labs and consolidated the now iconic Wikipedia cartographic guidelines^[1]. Advocating for East-West understanding I initiated the Commons CJK Stroke Order Project and the Ancient Chinese Characters Project — each creating about 15,000 images.

During my Chinese-studies PhD I invited in the open source software Shtooka which grew into WMFR's LinguaLibre.org, the Wikimedia Foundation’s rapid-recording tool for documenting linguistic diversity, accents, and voices. Lingua Libre supports the creation of professional-grade audio dictionaries and highlights local accents. It produced 1,400,000th recordings in 320+ languages nuturing Wiktionaries, Wikidata, SignIt, WikiTutur, WikiKata, Lingua Libre Dictionary. We convert energy from larger communities into tools supporting minority languages. I lead and co-maintain the codebases for Lingua Libre, SignIt, Lingua Libre Dictionary, Dragons Bot, and other Wikimedia tools.
