Stefan Offermanns-1964-cü ildə Almaniyanın Berlin şəhərində anadan olmuşdur. 2000–2009-cu illərdə Heydelberq Universitetinin Farmakologiya İnstitutunun professoru və direktoru vəzifəsini icra edən alim, 2008-ci ildən etibarən Maks Plank Ürək və Ağciyər Tədqiqatları İnstitutunun direktoru və tədqiqatçısıdır. S.Offermans 2009-cu ildən Frankfurt Höte Universitetinin[1] Farmakologiya bölməsinin professorudur.
