Nicole Ebber (WMDE)

Hi everyone! I am Nicole and I work for Wikimedia Deutschland, the German chapter of the Wikimedia Movement.

This account is solely used for the editing of Wikimedia projects and on behalf of Wikimedia Deutschland.

For more than 15 years, I have been shaping collaborative and participatory processes around free knowledge. In my role, I design and oversee international strategy and collective deliberation processes for Wikimedia. I have been working on the Chapters Dialogue, the annual Wikimedia Summit and the Movement's Strategic Direction. In 2018-20, I have led the Wikimedia 2030 Movement Strategy where hundreds of Wikimedians from across the world created recommendations and principles for the future of the Wikimedia Movement. Since 2020, I am leading Wikimedia Deutschland's Governance & Movement Relations team. We act both as a kind of WMDE's foreign affairs office to the wider Wikimedia movement and ecosystem, and as a connector and service unit for the organization’s governing bodies.
