Vera Rubin (ing. Vera Rubin; 23 iyul 1928[1][2], Filadelfiya, Pensilvaniya[2] – 25 dekabr 2016[3][1][…], Prinstom, Nyu-Cersi[2]) — Amerikalı astronom və astrofizik. O, qara materiyanın mövcudluğunu ortaya qoyan təcrübələri ilə tanınır.

1970-ci ildə Vera Rubin müşahidə olunan qalaktik fırlanma sürəti ilə görünən ulduzların və qazın kütləsi ilə proqnozlaşdırılan sürət arasında uyğunsuzluq aşkar etdi. Qalaktika fırlanma problemi çoxlu miqdarda görünməz qaranlıq maddənin mövcudluğu ilə izah edilir.[8][9]
Çilidəki Vera C.Rubin Rəsədxanası onun şərəfinə adlandırılıb. Onun irsi The New York Times tərəfindən kosmoloji nəzəriyyədə "Kopernik miqyaslı dəyişikliyə yol açan" kimi təsvir edilir. Görkəmli nəzəri fizik Lisa Randall və başqaları Rubinin Nobel mükafatına layiq görülmədiyini iddia ediblər.[10][11][12][13]
Rubin ömrünü elmdə qadınların hüquqlarını müdafiə etməklə keçirib və gələcək qadın astronomlara rəhbərlik edib.[14]
Vera Rubina fizika üzrə elmlər doktoru, professor, ABŞ Milli Elmlər Akademiyasının (1981), Amerika Fəlsəfə Cəmiyyətinin (1995) və Papa Elmlər Akademiyasının üzvü olub. O, ABŞ Milli Elm Medalı ilə təltif edilmişdir (1993).
