English: The Emblem of the State of Israel shows a menorah surrounded by an olive branch on each side, and the writing "ישראל" (Hebrew for Israel) below it. While the background of the emblem is always blue, the menorah and olive branches can be either white or golden. The white-on-blue version appears on the presidential standard, while the gold-on-blue version is the common one when showing the emblem independently.

עברית: סמל מדינת ישראל הוא מגן אשר במרכזו מנורת שבעת הקנים, משני צדיה ענפי זית ובתחתיתו הכיתוב "ישראל". יש שתי גרסאות של הסמל: באחת מופיעים המנורה, ענפי הזית והמילה "ישראל" בצבע זהוב על רקע כחול עמוק, ובאחרת הם מופיעים בצבע לבן או אפרפר-כסוף על רקע כחול. הגרסה הראשונה משמשת בדרך-כלל כשסמל המדינה מוצג כשלעצמו, בעוד הגרסה השנייה משמשת בנס הנשיא או כשהסמל מופיע על-גבי דגלונים. על-גבי מסמכים מוצג הסמל לעתים קרובות בשחור-לבן (המנורה ויתר האלמנטים לבנים על רקע שחור), ובמוסדות שונים מוצג הסמל כתבליט, בלי הבדל משמעותי בין צבע האלמנטים לצבע הרקע.

Русский: Герб Государства Израиль представляет собой геральдический щит (французский четырёхугольный с заострённым основанием) с изображённой на нём менорой (семисвечником), стоявшей в Иерусалимском храме. Семисвечник обрамлён оливковыми ветвями, символизирующими мир; под основанием меноры — надпись: ивр. ישראל — «Израиль». Геральдический щит — всегда синий, тогда как изображения меноры и оливковых ветвей могут быть белого (как на президентском флаге) или золотого цветов
