English: John of Patmos, also known as John the Revelator, John the Divine or John the Theologian, was the author of the Book of Revelation, also known as the Apocalypse of John, the last book of the New Testament. Please do not merge with "John the Evangelist", "John the Apostle" or "John the Baptist". In the Christian tradition and especially biblical scholarship, they are often considered different and separate people.
